I've always had an intense and special love for the mustang breed, ever since I worked with them when I was younger. At the last stable yard we were at I was overjoyed when I was able to get a dominant white mustang named Noelle. They always say we shouldn't have favorites among our horses, but I think she knows that she might be the favorite!
Since our stay here so far she has foaled a few lovely colts and fillies. The most recent of the herd are Wesson, Wisteria, and Maverick. Mav came out dominant white just like his mother and I strongly suspect he'll be a good competitor just like her too. Today I was able to watch Noelle in the paddock with her foals and it was a sight to see. She watches over them well but doesn't seem over protective. I think she likes to let them learn on their own, or perhaps she might be confident in their abilities at an early age.
We didn't work on any training with Noelle but I think soon we may revisit some flatwork exercises. Tomorrow there is a jumping competition and I hope that Noelle places very well.
